• Mountain House is made by OFD Foods (Oregon Freeze Dry), founded in 1963 in Albany, Oregon. The brand itself launched in 1969 through a partnership with REI, after Oregon Freeze Dry had already been supplying the U.S. military since 1966, and its meals later flew on Apollo 13 and NASA space shuttle missions.
